For Nigerian passport holders the Taiwan visa itself runs through its own application channel — but a second, separate step applies to every foreign visitor since October 2025: the Taiwan Arrival Card (TWAC), filed online before arriving by air or sea. The news is in the timing — the portal now accepts submissions up to seven days before arrival, up from a tight three-day window.
It is a data form, not a permission: passport details, purpose of visit, flight or vessel information and your Taiwan address, behind an e-mail verification. Several travellers on the same itinerary fit into one submission, and the card can be corrected until the immigration document check using the confirmation's document number plus passport data — so a rebooked flight doesn't mean starting over.
