Yes. Nigerian passports are not covered by Thailand's visa-exemption or visa-on-arrival schemes, so a visa must be approved before departure. Applications go exclusively through the official Thai e-Visa portal and are processed under the Royal Thai Embassy in Abuja. On top of the visa, every traveller registers the Thailand Digital Arrival Card online within three days before arrival.
Online only, at the official Thai e-Visa portal — the Abuja embassy takes no walk-in applications. Choose the category that matches your trip (tourist, business, study, or family), upload your passport, photographs, bank statements, and supporting documents, and pay the fee online. Fees are not refunded if the application is declined, so apply well before booking non-flexible travel.
Eight beyond Nigeria: Benin, Cameroon, Ghana, the Central African Republic, the Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, São Tomé and Príncipe, and Chad. Applicants resident in any of them are processed under Abuja in the online e-Visa system — the application itself is always submitted online, wherever you live.
Visaja keeps this page's contact details and visa guidance under continuous review — still, requirements can change at short notice, so confirm the essentials with the mission or the official government portal before you travel.
