Overview
Germany's honorary consul in Grenada, Jochen Manfred Lenz, operates from Sugar Apple Hill in Calliste, south of St. George's. The consulate provides emergency assistance and basic consular support for German nationals visiting or residing in Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique. Germany and Grenada maintain a unique bilateral development cooperation — Grenada is the only Eastern Caribbean island state with direct German bilateral cooperation, focused on improving climate resilience in Grenada's water sector. Grenada exports cocoa, nutmeg, and other spices to Germany, and the island's unspoiled character is increasingly attracting German-speaking visitors seeking alternatives to the more commercialized Caribbean islands.
Visa Services
The honorary consul does not process visa applications. For Schengen visa applications to travel to Germany or other EU countries, applicants must contact the German Embassy in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. Grenadian nationals require a Schengen visa for travel to Germany and the EU.
Consular Services
Basic consular services including emergency assistance, document legalization support, and initial guidance for German nationals in distress. For passport applications, civil registry matters, and complex consular issues, contact the German Embassy in Port of Spain directly.
